Phil Long Collision Center

Collision services built for dealerships

Phil Long Collision Center handles vehicle reconditioning, warranty and recall collision repairs, and fleet account management for Colorado Springs dealerships.

A collision center that understands dealership operations

Phil Long Collision Center is part of the Phil Long Automotive Group, one of Colorado's largest dealer networks. That background shapes how we work with dealerships. We understand lot turn cycles, used vehicle reconditioning timelines, and the documentation requirements that come with warranty and recall work. We also understand that slow reconditioning and uncoordinated repair processes cost dealerships real money in carrying costs and delayed sales.

For dealerships outside the Phil Long Automotive Group, we offer the same account structure and priority access that our internal dealer partners receive. A dedicated account contact, consolidated billing, and priority scheduling are available to any dealership that sets up a fleet reconditioning account with us.

Vehicle reconditioning for dealer lots

Trade-ins, auction vehicles, and pre-owned inventory that need body work, paint correction, or cosmetic restoration move through Phil Long with priority scheduling separate from retail repair work. That means your lot vehicles are not sitting in queue behind walk-in customers.

Typical reconditioning work includes minor collision repair, door ding and dent removal, paint chip correction, bumper refinishing, and panel blending. We can also coordinate interior and glass work through our network of partners when a vehicle needs full reconditioning before it goes to the sales floor.

Each vehicle is documented with before and after photos and a repair summary. That documentation goes into your account record, so your used vehicle manager has a complete file for every car that came through our facility.

Warranty and recall collision repairs

Phil Long handles body-related warranty and recall repairs on behalf of dealership service departments. Our OEM certifications cover Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Kia, Hyundai, Subaru, and Corvette. Each certification requires that repairs follow the manufacturer's documented procedures, use the specified parts, and meet structural and finish standards set by the OEM.

For warranty work, this matters significantly. A warranty repair completed at a non-certified facility may not satisfy the manufacturer's requirements, which can create disputes over subsequent warranty claims or customer satisfaction issues down the road. Phil Long's certifications mean warranty repairs are documented to each manufacturer's standard and defensible if questioned later.

We work directly with your service department to coordinate vehicle intake, repair authorization, and return. Your service advisor does not need to manage the collision side of the repair. We handle communication and flag any issues that require authorization before proceeding.

What happens when you call

Call (719) 667-2900 and ask about setting up a dealership account. We will schedule a brief call or in-person meeting with your used vehicle manager or fleet contact to go over your volume, vehicle types, and billing preferences. Account setup is straightforward and does not require a long-term contract.

Once your account is active, you have a direct contact at Phil Long for scheduling, status updates, and billing questions. Vehicles are scheduled on a priority track, and your account contact reaches out proactively when a repair is complete or when a timeline changes.

Cost and billing

Reconditioning costs depend on the scope of work needed per vehicle. Dealership accounts receive consolidated monthly invoicing covering all vehicles repaired in that billing period. Net-30 terms are available for established accounts.

For warranty repairs, billing flows through the manufacturer's warranty claim process. We handle claim submission and documentation. For recall work covered by the manufacturer, there is no cost to the dealership beyond coordination time.

Volume pricing is available for dealerships with consistent monthly reconditioning needs. Discuss your expected volume during account setup and we will structure pricing accordingly.

Sales coordination and customer referrals

Dealership account holders can refer their sales customers directly to Phil Long for post-sale collision needs. This is particularly useful when a customer purchases a certified pre-owned vehicle with minor cosmetic issues that will be addressed after sale, or when a new vehicle owner has a first collision and needs a trusted referral.

Phil Long can coordinate with your sales team to offer collision center referrals as part of the customer handoff process. Customers get a direct contact at Phil Long, and your dealership maintains the relationship rather than losing the customer to whichever shop they find on their own.

Why dealerships work with Phil Long

OEM certifications across seven brands mean warranty repairs meet manufacturer requirements without exception. Priority scheduling keeps reconditioning timelines tight so vehicles move off your lot faster. A single account contact means your team is not managing a relationship with a general shop that rotates staff and loses context between visits.

Phil Long's connection to the Phil Long Automotive Group means we have worked inside dealership operations for years and understand the pressures your used vehicle and service teams face. We run our dealership accounts to fit your process, not the other way around.
